DESCRIPTION
Arena Platoș is located in Cindrel Mountains, on Poiana Poplăcii plateau, 30 km away from Sibiu and 1 km away from the entrance to Păltiniș mountain ski resort.
The Arena Platoș ski and snowboard complex was established in 2010 and offers tourists winter holidays in a mountain resort which is unique in Romania for the wide range of equipment and services offered, as well as the ski and snowboard school. Among the facilities are: ski-lifts, chairlifts, artificial snow, kindergarten on skis, skiing, snowboarding and sledging slopes equipped with ski-lifts. At the bottom of the slopes is Apres Ski, the bar where winter holiday themed parties take place, as well as competitions with prizes and surprises.
Arena Platoș Events also organizes events and competitions for children and amateur adults, and international professional competitions that blend winter sports (ski, snowboard) and fun. The idea was borrowed and brought to Păltiniș from Austria, being tailored for Romanian tourists who wish to spend their winter holidays in the mountains, in a dynamic and fun environment. It is a ski resort suitable for children, young people, parents, grandparents as well as for professional skiers and snowboarders.
