DESCRIPTION
250 kilometers. 50 hours. Map, compass and a team you must have complete trust in.
The competition is a complex adventure race, which combines strategic orientation, physical endurance and adaptability in a real terrain, where the nature of the Vânători Neamță Natural Park is a partner – not a decoration.
The teams receive the map before the start and decide on their own strategy, being obliged to reach the checkpoints established by the organizers. The tests include: mountain running, mountain biking, sports orienteering, canoe/rafting, rope tests, caving and other surprise challenges. Bison Adventure Race is one of the few competitions of this type organized in a protected natural area in Romania and promotes a responsible sports model, integrated into the concept of an ecotourism destination.
Competitive format 2026:
- Long race: ~250 km | max. 50 hours | teams of 4 competitors
- Short race: ~100 km | max. 24 hours | teams of 2 competitors
