DESCRIPTION
Potcoava Mountain Hideaway is located 120 km from Bucharest (Dâmbovița county), in the middle of nature, 3 km away from the nearest village. It is a riding centre and guesthouse which offers unique holidays to those who love nature and horses.
With an area of 2.4 hectares, this is an ideal spot especially for families with children, and its 13 Haflinger horses offer authentic riding experiences. The horses are born and bred in Tyrol, then specially trained to do riding lessons with both adults and children, and brought to Potcoava, an area whose relief closely resembles the horses’ birthplace: hills and mountains with gentle slopes and plains. Come here if you are a horse-riding beginner, and you will have riding lessons in the outdoor or indoor arena (depending on the weather), as well as the opportunity to ride around the hillsides, highlands and woods.
The guesthouse has 13 double rooms suitable for families, a restaurant with a terrace where the daily menu is served (always prepared only from fresh ingredients), a generous living room that includes a library and a fireplace, a small spa, as well as a large outdoor space. The outdoor pavilion is everyone’s favourite place, and it is also where, in the summer evenings, outdoor cooking sessions and wine tasting take place.
