DESCRIPTION
Held in the heart of the Vânători-Neamț Natural Park, the Bison Day brings together biodiversity specialists, the local community and visitors from all over the country to celebrate the return and protection of the largest land mammal in Europe.
The christening of the bison calves is now taking place, with the godparents being chosen following a public naming contest, which must begin with RO. It is a symbolic gesture, creating a direct link between the public and the natural heritage of the Neamț Bison Land eco-destination. The day’s program includes presentations on biodiversity, educational activities for children and young people, outdoor experiences, as well as a local products fair that reflects the community’s gastronomic and craft identity.
