DESCRIPTION
Every year, the Day of the Bison is celebrated in the Bison Land (Ținutul Zimbrului). The bison calves in the park are baptized on this special day, and visitors are invited to choose their names. To celebrate, pupils from the nearby schools prepare special, traditional meals, seasoning them with the salt extracted from Izvorul de Slatină (Slatina Spring), which is over 8,000 years old. The festive feel is also given by artistic events, by children and youngsters’ games like archery, and tests of courage, and cycling trails.
