Departure: the Vânători-Neamț Nature Park Visitor Centre
The Vânători-Neamț Nature Park is one of the few places in Europe with wild bison. Visitors can observe, photograph and film bison, but they can also learn a lot of things about the forests protecting these animals.
The visits must be booked 3 days ahead, by phone or e-mail at the Vânători-Neamț Nature Park Administration headquarters, the park being open daily from 9:00 am. You will learn about bisons and, accompanied by the park rangers, you will determine the location of the animals using GPS data. You will also be trained regarding the monitoring of bisons via GPS.
