Funeral of Farsang

DESCRIPTION

The Funeral of Farșang is a traditional event, and is held every year before the Lent. The attendants wear masks, play various characters, dance and walk the streets in an original parade. One donkey pulls a cart carrying a coffin, representing winter and the old year. During this street show, they bury winter and mark the beginning of spring by a feast, the last between the Lent.
