DESCRIPTION
Mediaș Bike Marathon is a cross country cycling competition that takes place in the northern area of the Transylvanian Highlands and Sibiu County. The varied routes pass through picturesque rural villages with fortified churches, such as Biertan, Richiș, Buzd, Nou Săsesc and Mălăncrav and areas of shady forests, Natura 2000 protected natural areas. Some of the trails also include sections of the Via Transilvanica. The competition takes place along 7 routes of 14, 30, 35, 45, 60, 80 and 100 kilometres.
