DESCRIPTION
The event, which aims to celebrate this year the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the first national park in Romania, the Retezat National Park, is organized by Klavier Art Association, in partnership with the Retezat Tourism Association and the Administration of the Retezat National Park, in mid-August, during the St. Mary’s mini-holiday, at Lake Bucura.
The cultural project, funded by the Administrația Fondului Cultural Național, involves a series of 21 flashmobs and 3 classical music concerts, with 7 premieres of 7 pieces by 7 contemporary Romanian composers, performed by 14 professional musicians and the screening of 3 award-winning films dedicated to sustainable tourism, Romanian flora and fauna, in the presence of the directors or the film crew (Dan Dinu – Wild Romania and Tibi Ușeriu – Oamenii Drumului/Terra Banatica and Apă și Talpă). The event will also be attended by Toma Coconea, world vice-champion in paragliding, who will fly from Vf. Peleaga (the highest peak in the Retezat Massif – 2.509 m) and will land near the lake.
