Flavours and Sounds of Transylvania invites you to an already well-established series of workshops featuring rural tastes and traditions. Learn how to make zacusca, how to make vegetable preserves for the winter (pickles), how to bake bread in the traditional bread oven, how to make cheese or fruit yoghurt, how to cook forest mushrooms, what bison meat tastes like or how to combine onions with traditional smoked pork fat in a spreadable paste. The Transylvanian cuisine allows you to discover new or reinvented recipes. As part of the event, an experienced chef will prepare delicious dishes using only locally grown and seasonal produce. Each dinner will take place in a carefully-selected area, will be accompanied by a local story and will support a social project.
The workshops take place in various locations with different activities, but what they have in common is the unique culinary experience and the wonderful atmosphere of the Transylvanian villages.
