DESCRIPTION

Casa Eva Wagner Guesthouse is situated in Biertan, one of the most well-known villages in Transylvania. The guesthouse is close to the fortified church, a UNESCO World Heritage monument dating from the 12th century. The monumental church is located on top of a hill in the centre of the village and surrounded by three rows of fortifications. Casa Eva Wagner Guesthouse is a former Saxon house that had all its annexes (the old house, the barn and the stable) renovated and converted into holiday accommodation. The 8 rooms include two triple rooms, a quadruple room (two double beds, ideal for families) and double rooms, all en-suite.

In this old medieval village, part of UNESCO World Heritage alongside the fortified church, you will encounter old customs and traditions, horse carts, herds of cattle or flocks of sheep. Biertan is part of the Transylvanian Highlands ecotourism destination, an area well known for its extensive network of hiking and cycle tourism routes, its fortified churches, its wildflower meadows, ancient oaks and unique culinary experiences. Moreover, the long-distance hiking route Via Transilvanica passes right through Biertan.
