Casa Cânda

DESCRIPTION

Casa Cânda is the first example of a social business in Țara Hațegului, a guesthouse with a lot of personality located in the countryside, near Hațeg, in the village of Sălașu de Sus, within the UNESCO International Geopark Țara Hațegului and very close to one of the main entrances to the Retezat National Park. It is a rustic-style accommodation in a former traditional dwelling, which can accommodate up to 19 people.

The guesthouse is managed by the Retezat Tourism Association (ATR) – the management unit of the Țara Hațegului – Retezat Ecotourism Destination, one of the few such destinations certified by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism. ATR members have taken on the management of the guesthouse on a voluntary basis, with valuable help from three employees from the local community. Profits are reinvested in projects that support the development and promotion of ecotourism in the area.

The guesthouse can offer all 3 meals, using mostly local produce, following traditional recipes. Other facilities: TV/Internet, private bathrooms, terrace, grill, garden, private parking.
