About the conference
The Association of Ecotourism in Romania, together with the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation and the group of international experts in tourism and sustainability from Ecotrans, are pleased to invite you to the online conference The Recovery of Romanian Tourism from a Sustainability Perspective (February 16-17, 2021).
This event focuses on the need of the Romanian tourism to consider the European perspective by detaching from an obsolete approach focused solely on infrastructure (build and customers will come), and introducing the three pillars of the current European policy: resilience, sustainability and digitization.
Starting with 2021 sustainability can relaunch Romanian tourism by:
- including tourism in the National Resilience and Recovery Plan;
- a responsible and effective management of tourist destinations and products.
Conference Agenda
The conference agenda is structured over two days, between 10.00 and 14.00 (EET). The first day (February 16) will address financial instruments and public policies at European level and a discussion on the relaunch of domestic tourism on sustainability coordinates, while the next day (February 17) includes examples of good practice in Romania.
