Șinelor Trail

DESCRIPTION

Trail: Breb – Hoteni – Hărnicești – Sat Șugatag – Mănăstirea – Ocna Șugatag – Hoteni – Breb

Șinelor Trail is one of the trails with less uphill cycling requiring physical strain, but rich in tourist attractions. The middle section of the trail takes place along various fragments of former narrow-gauge railway lines, which were used for the transport of wood (Ferești – Mara – Runcu), salt, but also passengers (Ocna Șugatag – Ferești – Sighet). No less than five ancient wooden churches “watch over” our way, apple and plum orchards, forest foot paths and salt lakes await us, as well as the place where “Tânjaua de pe Mara” is organized every year, and various types of terrain.
