“În orașul Viflaim” (“In the town of Bethlehem”) Christmas Carol Festival

DESCRIPTION

”În orașul Viflaim” Christmas Carol Festival is an event dedicated to the winter holidays, and to the traditions and customs preserved for this special time of the year. The Festival is held on 6th December, when Christians celebrate Saint Nicholas by singing charming carols. On the same day is celebrated the patron saint of the church in Budești-Josani, built in 1643. The church is part of the UNESCO world heritage, and is a monumental building, of large, as compared to other churches erected in the same period. Inside can be found well-kept folk paintings, icons painted on wood and glass, and part of Pintea Viteazu (Pintea the Brave)’s mail shirt.
