The campsite and the hostel are managed by a Dutch couple, who moved to Romania in 2011. They chose a spacious location at the end of the village, 900 m away via the cobbled lanes of the village. For this reason, it is unreachable for motor homes longer than 6 m.
The hostel and the campsite restrooms are sheltered in a restored traditional barn, and the campsite is located behind the family’s small, wooden house. On the 6,000 sqm camping area there are hammocks, designated areas for camp fires, electricity hubs and last, but not least, spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
From Babou, the villagers’ daily routines can be observed, you can go hiking to the neighbouring villages and towards the mountains, or you can relax in a hammock, enjoying the outdoors and some peace and quiet.
