An event entirely dedicated to tuberoses, the wonderful flowers whose specific fragrance you either love or you hate, but which cannot leave you indifferent. Come meet the first Saxon community of tuberose growers in Romania, which has brought them to Hoghilag (or Halvelagen, just 16 kilometers from Sighișoara) and cultivated them here since the Middle Ages. The tuberose, also called the Mistress of the Night, is a night-blooming plant that will bloom once every three years and symbolizes sensuality. Tuberose essential oil is used by perfume and cosmetics manufacturers for its antifungal, antiseptic and restorative properties.

The event offers guided tours through local tuberose gardens, creative workshops, musical moments and activities for children, wine tastings, and an artisans’ fair with traditional products.
