Transylvanian Highlands

General information

Green hills with a mosaic of agricultural crops, meadows and forests, Saxon villages and fortified churches all form the set of a genuine fairy tale. Remember, while gently strolling through, to feel the spirit of the place and to breathe in the scents of nature: you are surrounded by wonders.

Green hills with a mosaic of agricultural crops, meadows and forests, Saxon villages and fortified churches all form the set of a genuine fairy tale. Remember, while gently strolling through, to feel the spirit of the place and to breathe in the scents of nature: you are surrounded by wonders.

Some of the old buildings, steeped in history, are on the UNESCO World Heritage List (the fortified churches in Viscri, Saschiz and Biertan), forming ”the last truly medieval landscape in Europe”.

The biodiversity and traditional lifestyle are the result of centuries of development in full harmony with nature, creating a unique feel about this place, of balance and peace. Enjoy the harmony in the gentle spirit of Transylvania.
