DESCRIPTION
Each fall, in the ecotourism destination Băile Tușnad and its surroundings you get the chance to attend a bear-dedicated event. The organisers unravel a project named `Man-Bear Cohabitation’ („Conviețuirea între om și urs”), promoting a friendly attitude towards nature and the protected brown bear species (Ursus arctos).
Thusly, it is intended to inform local people, as well as tourists, about the life and behaviour of bears living around town and in the Piatra Șoimilor natural reserve. The festival boasts educational activities for children, but also exhibitions and seminars with information about the bear meant for adults. Traditional meals and music will be also present, and in the evening you can enjoy a bonfire.
