Explore the REAL Romania – the vast ranges of the Carpathian Mountains; the dense, wild forests of Transylvania; immense gorges; lush green valleys; extraordinary painted monasteries; fortified citadels; medieval towns. Walk, cycle, climb, photograph, track wildlife, try your hand at traditional crafts, study wild flowers, wander in the countryside, picnic in the fields - or just relax in the home of a village family and sample wholesome, country fare with home made wine and plum brandy.

When?
  • Primarily mid-April to December/New Year.
