"To say this is so much more than a riding holiday is under-selling the whole experience of being here." T.M., UK, July 2nd, 2005
What?

We operate a horse riding centre with guesthouse and offer riding and hiking holidays in an area of unspoilt beauty.

We have over 20 horses and always have the perfect match for beginners as well as for the demanding client. Breeds include Arab, Shagya-Arab, Kisberi, Gidran, Furioso-Northstar, Lippizzan, English Thoroughbred, Shetland Pony, and local breeds. Together with high-quality horse-riding, our emphasis is on passing on our experience of 12 years of nature research and conservation work to the interested client.

Where?
  • Sinca Noua, South-Central Transylvania, central Brasov county; an area with rolling hills and wide open valleys, ideal for horse riding and hiking.
  • Another trip targets the hills of Transylvania between Medias and the River Olt, an area made in Heaven for riding horses.
When?
  • Best seasons for horse riding are between April and October for summer rides and January/February for winter rides.
  • For the occasional rider we are open all year round.
  • Families who want to come for a weekend of pony-riding, hiking or just enjoying the quiet and cosy atmosphere are welcome anytime of the year.
How?
  • Most of our summer riding departures are one week trips with 5 days of riding and a day of exploring Transylvanian culture. The rides include a 2-day round trip through the hills and forests at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, with overnight stays in tents.
  • We run four departures throughout summer across Transylvania from Soala (a small village near Medias) to Sinca Noua. This trip takes 11 days (8 days riding) across the hills of Transylvania, with accommodation in small villages along the way.
Other offers::
  • Transylvania Trek – a 2 week / 250 km roundtrip on horse-back through Southern Transylvania
  • Annual family holidays - 2 weeks in August - with riding, hiking, day-trips and lots of other family oriented activities
  • Tailor made hiking tours for small and medium sized groups
  • Bear watching
